022 Go wine tasting

I found a new winery in my own town that just opened up. A couple people I know went there this weekend, so maybe since it’s so close I’ll actually do it.

093 Work on my penmanship

I am so slacking here. Because I’m on a computers so much its difficult to practice my penmanship. I’m just reminded every time I write, how much I dislike my handwriting.

098 Obtain a library card

I’m not working and in school two days a week. I have a four year old. Why haven’t I done this yet? My grandma took Little Man to the library and he even has a library card. Seriously, I need to plan this for sometime this week. Hold me accountable ok?

062 Create a moisturizing routine (you are not 27 forever)

I am doing really well on this so I’m crossing it off. If I slack, I’ll come back to it and put it back in bold.

052 Put $0.50 in a jar (daily) or bank account (weekly) for 1001 days (CoinStar every 250 days for physical change)

I almost want to cross this off. I have an auto payment come from my checking each week that trasnfers into a different banks savings account. Then I realized I still have like two years left on this, so I’ll leave it open. UPDATE: I CoinStar’d $11.56 on Wednesday of last week :) I thought I would have more than that, damn pennies.

045 Work up to 200 sit-ups and 100 push-ups daily & 046 Work up to 200 squats daily (get all three apps on iPhone)

Omigosh why can’t I just start on this?! I look at it week in and week out and I even bought the apps for my phone. Gah! Someone, give me a nudge, a push… anything.

079 Introduce Soymilk into my diet (goal is complete when this is a regular staple in my fridge)

I bought a case of Vanilla Soymilk from Costco, but haven’t had any yet.. now I can put this “in progress” though. Yay!

029 Get to and maintain last goal weight [0/6]

I started dieting about a week ago replacing 2-3 of my 4-6 meals a day with a protein shake. They are 100 calories and 18g of protein in each scoop. I can’t stand the taste of it so I mix 6oz water, 1 scoop of shake mix and a couple shakes of cinnamon (for the after taste) and gulp the whole thing down. Within 10 minutes or so I feel full, it’s awesome. I’m going to weigh in tomorrow. Problem? I’m almost out of protein powder.

Oh and Thanks to The Mister for the cinnamon idea. ;)

020 Become active on my Flickr account

I have lots of pictures I’ve been taking since completing goal #030. However, they’ve been at events so I’ve been uploading them to Photobucket just so it’s easier to link the pictures. This needs to be rectified. This week.

064 Finish homework the week it’s due

So far, so good. I could stand to do it earlier, but I have completed all my homework assignments on time.

076 Become punctual and less of a procrastinator

I added the procrastinator part last night because my intention with the goal wasn’t just to show up places on time. It was to quit dilly dallying all the time. Like now, my homework is due tomorrow by 1pm and I’m here… blogging. Instead of reading two chapters and writing 700 words about said chapters. Ugh.

001 Produce a successful blog

I think I might be able to do this with my DezDeals blog, I just have more ideas for it than my other blogs. I’d still like to keep up with all of them because they are all outlets for different parts of me.

037 Clean out shoe collection and donate no longer needed items

How do you get rid of shoes? I mean really, it’s not like clothes that may not fit anymore or are completely out of style. They all still fit and are super cute. Crap, this is going to be a tough one.

009 Grow a Fruit/Veggie garden outdoors

I think I’m going to buy some those long planters when there is a sale so I can actually do this. Since I live in a Condo on the third floor.

047 Mail [Private] a postcard monthly [4/21]

Woops! Almost forgot about this one, hence the goal.

032 Collect 10 unique (pretty to me) sand/dirt from meaningful places to display in bottles (buy bottles from Goodwill) [0/10]

My idea on this is to pick one up at a time. I was there and wanted to buy all 10 but couldn’t do it, so I figure if I do one at a time that should be easier.

060 Read 50 books [0/50]

Now that I have the books ready I need to crack into one. How about this week?

077 Create a memory box

If I can get into my dark storage unit I will grab this so I can start on it.

088 Hang pictures

Same as up there. ☝

080 Wear a new hairstyle once weekly for a month [0/4]

I figure now that I actually have a new cut and color to show off I should get on top of this goal before my hair grows out.

094 Reserved for a knitting goal

How about I set this goal? Gosh. I need to get some knitting stuff out of storage for inspiration.

075 Create my family tree

I was talking to someone today, at random, about their heritage and it really re-inspired me to did a little deeper and find out some more about my family. Not just naming people in my family, but learning my heritage.

095 Give five random gifts per year [1/13.75]

I totally forgot I bought a random gift for The Mister two weekends ago. :)

As promised, here I am updating you on what I said I was going to do and what I actually did.

Actually I washed them today, but I changed the sheets Sunday.

✔ 040 Brush twice daily and floss at least once daily

New routine started. I always brush in the morning, but now Little Man and I will brush together before he goes to bed. Problem solved.

What I didn’t do:

☐ 002 Find a Geocache

I said Little Man and I may go for a “treasure hunt” but we didn’t end up doing it.

☐ 100 Create a workout mix 50+ songs (upbeat only) and create a 500+ all time greatest mix for iPod

As I said I plan on doing that this week, and that’s still a go but yeah.

☐ 045 Work up to 200 sit-ups and 100 push-ups daily & 046 Work up to 200 squats daily (get all three apps on iPhone)

Just keep putting this off….

☐ 079 Introduce Soymilk into my diet (go.al is complete when this is a regular staple in my fridge)

I totally spaced this, I went grocery shopping and everything and got milk but no soy.

Every time I update, I go through The List and write down what I’ve been able to start on, what I want to start on or what I can cross off. I’ve realized that some of these things are going to take moneymoney I don’t have, being a full time student and all (for the next 2 years). I have roughly 2 more years to finish this and I’d like to complete the whole thing. With that being said I’m adding a Paypal Donate button shown below to The List page, so if you feel so inclined to sponsor a goal or more you have an option. Wasn’t that nice of me to do? I agree.

002 Find a Geocache

I found a website where I can look up Geocache in my area, but it looks like people are pretty hard core and find them the day they’re placed. However the idea is to take a treasure, leave a treasure so it’s not a big deal. Maybe Little Man and I will go on a treasure hunt tomorrow?

024 Explore a ghost town

I searched for ghost towns in my area and came across an awful webpage about a place I think I may have visited when I was in grade school. Sounds like a good hike and unless I can find something closer I’d love to re-visit it.

060 Read 50 books [0/50]

I grabbed Stephanie Meyers Twilight series from my storage unit at the end of December and plan on reading them. That’s only 4 of 50, but I’ll get there.

073 Write self a letter to be opened on day 1001

I said last week that I was going to start on this letter this week and I have. I’ve decided that I will write several letters to myself all delivered on the final day of this project, June 6, 2012.

I’m thinking I’ll make time to do this sometime in the next week which co-insides with goal #045 & #046.

038    Budget monthly (keep register daily, pay bills weekly or with paychecks) [5/21]

A little late in the month, but I completed my budget for the month. I’ve gotten rid of every luxury (minus Netflix at $9/month) and since I’m living off a fixed income (that I received at the beginning of the month) through March I’m just paying everything as soon as I’m billed for it.

I love watching this money pile up and since it’s not in my everyday use credit union I don’t check it all the time, so when I do it’s refreshing.

I dug up a bunch of change from my coin purse and truck and plan to hit the CoinStar and deposit into an account for this goal. Maybe after my tax return I can  put some more in it?

045 Work up to 200 sit-ups and 100 push-ups daily & 046 Work up to 200 squats daily (get all three apps on iPhone)

I got these apps a day or so ago and want to start them tomorrow, goal #100 is tethered into this too. I think I’ll start the workout before I actually get the songs together, but who know maybe tomorrow will be filled with Geocache treasure hunting, Mix making and a workout kind of day? I laughed a little out loud too, don’t worry.

For some silly reason I haven’t been keeping up with the second brush, everyday. You would think not working would help with it, but I had a perfect little schedule at work for this routine. So back in the saddle tomorrow, I pinky swear.

I haven’t been into even trying this goal, I don’t know why I used to drink it all the time. I need to get milk tomorrow and I’m going to get little man some 2% and I’ll grab some soy.

Oh. my. God. I did it. I bought a brand spankin’ new camera. I got a sort of a bundle deal through Costco, I researched all my local electronic stores as well as the internet and found a smokin’ good deal!

The details: Nikon D3000 (body), 18-55mm lens, plus 55-200mm lens, 4GB memory card and carrying case.

So apparently Winter Break from school also meant Winter Break from blogging. Well, it looks like goal #055 might be out the window :( Let’s see how to get back into the swing of things?? It’s a new year, so lot’s of new things to look forward to – that’s good right? Now let’s see what I’ve been up to the past month.

My Fall quarter I received two A’s and a B, I think that’s at least a 3.5?

I’m not sure if I’ll be able to add another course outside of the one I’m taking for school (starting Tuesday!!), but I’m thinking maybe a course of some tips through a photographer I admire.

I think that now that I’ll be in a photography course it will be easier to start and finish these goals

005    Cook 5 recipes from all my cookbooks

I have been cooking and baking up a storm of NEW recipes now that I’m not working and my little man is home. BUT this goal is for recipes in my cookbooks. I received 2 new cookbooks for Christmas along with my Julie & Julia movie. The Julia Child Art of French Cooking Vol I & II. I also grabbed a Rachael Ray cookbook from my storage unit last time I was there. I have more, but since I have very little space here I think I’ll swap out as needed.

048    Visit Michelle at least once per year (budget with tax return to ensure this?) [0/2.75]

Let’s see how my tax return turns out, but I plan on getting a ticket it with it regardless. Also she came and visited for Christmas and it was awesome!! Our kids are getting married soon by the way…

I washed all my clothes yesterday, but since this reminded me I needed to do Decembers I’ll throw them in right now!
